Kalm's brome grows in moist to dry ground in sunny places---wet prairies, mesic prairies, sand prairies, savannas, woods openings. Stems occur just a few in a cluster. Attractive with shorter plants so the plump, fuzzy, spikelets in the inflorescence are free to dangle.
